Meal Plans Accounts
In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed meal plans to meet those needs for the 2010-2011 academic year. All meal plans may be used for a la carte menu selections in the Thomas More Dining Room, The Pub, The Daily Grind, or Planet Sub.
Meal Plans offered are a Full Plan for $1650, a Moderate Plan for $1550, and a Light Plan for $1450. A half plan for $725 may be purchased for students not required to purchase a full, moderate or light plan. The half plan also offers a 5% purchase incentive which adds additional $36.50 to your meal plan balance. To purchase or make changes to any meal plan you must contact the Resident Life Office located in Massman Hall. Meal plan balances from the fall semester will be carried over to the spring semester; however, balances remaining at the end of an academic year will be forfeited.
You may check to see at any time throughout the semester where your meal plan balance should be by linking to our Meal Plan Balance Chart. This chart is offered as a guideline to assist you in your spending trends. If you find you will need to make an additional purchase for meals to finish out the semester, you may simply add declining balance points, as explained below, to your meal plan card at any time.
Declining Balance Point Accounts
Have we got a plan for you! We are pleased to offer a declining balance program to all commuter and off campus housing students, as well as all faculty and staff. The declining balance plan allows you to purchase points through the Rockhurst Rockstop Office located across from the TMDR. The points maybe purchased in any amount from as little as $20 to as much as $1000 depending on your spending needs. One point is equivalent to one dollar. After purchasing your points through Rockhurst and bringing your receipt to the Sodexo Dining Services office to have the point money added to your Rockhurst ID, you may then begin to use your ID just like a debit card. Declining balance points may be used for a la carte menu selections in the Thomas More Dining Room, The Pub, The Daily Grind, or Planet Sub. Student balances from the fall semester will be carried over to the spring semester; however, balances remaining at the end of an academic year will be forfeited. All faculty and staff points have no expiration date.
When you open a declining balance account, you can not only enjoy the convenience of not carrying cash on campus, but you can actually SAVE money! That’s right, since declining balance points are always tax exempt, you will save over 9% in sales tax on each dining service purchase you make. So, sign up for your declining balance account and start saving today!
You must present your ID card to the cashier at all facilities for each purchase with your declining balance or meal plan account. In the event your ID card is lost, report it immediately to the Dining Service office so your account can be suspended and a temporary card may be issued. You are financially responsible for any money used on your account prior to contacting the dining services office. Your temporary card can be set with an expiration date which will allow you some time to search for your permanent card; however at the end of that time if you cannot locate your card you will need to make arrangements to have a new Rockhurst ID card issued.
